Pursue a Hobby
Pursue a Hobby
Who has time for a hobby you say? You do! Engaging in a hobby is a way for you to let go of the stress from day-to-day activities and allows you to immerse yourself in something just for you.
If your hobby is in the nature of "crafting" you experience the thrill of creating and have an outlet for your creative energy. If your hobby has a sports theme, you get the benefit of physical activity and mind clearing focus. If your hobby is more cerebral in nature, word games, chess, board games, etc., you get a chance to use your brain in ways you might not otherwise get to during a busy week.
Your hobby should be something you look forward to doing and that doesn't add pressure in another area of your life. For instance, I have a friend who collects cars for a hobby. He researches cars on the internet and shows off his cars at car shows around the region. He can afford this hobby and makes the time to devote to research and shows. He loves the thrill of the hunt for just the right car and loves to show them off to others.
Don't let your hobby turn into an obsession that takes over your life. Your hobby should bring you relaxation and joy when you engage in it.
Gotta run, the hot glue gun is ready
